Rechargeable Hookah Pen: Battery, Lights and Capacity Compared

A hookah pen has two things that can run out: the battery and the e-liquid. On a non-rechargeable disposable, whichever runs out first ends the device, and in a large-capacity pen that is usually the battery. A rechargeable hookah pen fixes that by letting you top the battery up, so the device keeps going until the prefilled e-liquid is actually used.

That is why every large-capacity hookah pen needs a charge port. A device rated for tens of thousands of puffs holds far more e-liquid than one battery charge can vaporize. All four Olit Hookalit devices charge over USB-C, the same cable most phones use.

The juice side is a different story. The e-liquid in every Olit Hookalit device is prefilled and sealed. You recharge the battery; you do not refill the reservoir. More on that below.

All figures below are the manufacturer's listed specs. Where a spec is not published, the table says so rather than guessing.

Every device runs the same 0.35% (3.5 mg/mL) nicotine and a hookah-traditional flavor menu: 10 flavors on the Mega 200K, 16 on the Pro 60K, 15 on the Plus 100K and 16 on the 40K Tarot. Prices are the current direct prices on this site.

"Light up hookah pen" and "hookah light vape" searches are usually after one of two things: a device that looks good on the table, or a display you can read at a glance. Three of the four Olit Hookalit devices do the first; all four do the second.

• Plus 100K: the most light-forward of the lineup. The manufacturer calls it the ARGB Edition: a full-spectrum lighting ring you can switch on or off with a long press, plus a hookah bubbling sound effect.
• Mega 200K: dynamic RGB lighting with sound effects, on top of an LED screen for battery and e-liquid level. It is also the only one that works as a hookah head on a hookah base.
• Pro 60K: a blend-in screen with light effects and a bubbling sound, set in a leather-finish body.
• 40K Tarot: no light show listed; it has a battery and e-liquid display and a Tarot-themed design, with a Tarot card in every box.

Lighting draws on the battery like everything else, which is one more reason these devices are rechargeable.

"Big hookah pen" can mean physical size or how long the device lasts. By how long it lasts, this is the order, using the manufacturer's rated puffs:

1. Mega 200K: up to 200,000 puffs from 80 mL, the largest listed reservoir in the lineup.
2. Plus 100K: about 100,000 puffs; e-liquid volume not published.
3. Pro 60K: up to 60,000 puffs from 60 mL.
4. 40K Tarot: up to 40,000 puffs from 40 mL.

Puff ratings are manufacturer figures measured under their own test conditions. Long, open draws use more e-liquid per puff than short ones, so real-world counts depend on how you vape; the DTL hookah vape guide explains draw styles.

By physical size, the only published dimensions are for the 40K Tarot: 43.4 mm across and 191.7 mm tall (1.71 × 7.55 in). If pocket fit matters more than runtime, see the portable hookah guide.

This is the most common mix-up with rechargeable hookah pens. The USB-C port charges the battery only. None of the four devices has a fill port, and the e-liquid is sealed at the factory. When the e-liquid level reaches empty, the device is finished, however much battery is left.

• Use a standard USB-C cable and a normal phone-style charger or computer port.
• Charge when the battery indicator runs low rather than waiting for the device to stop firing mid-session.
• Watch the e-liquid readout too. If the battery is full but the device tastes burnt or weak, check the e-liquid level before assuming a charging problem.
• Keep it out of extreme heat, such as a car dashboard in summer, while charging or stored.
